Some love stories unfold in grand ballrooms with chandeliers glittering overhead, and others, like Cole and Sydney’s, are written in the quiet, sacred spaces of home.
Their wedding day was the perfect reflection of the life they’ve built together—simple, intimate, and overflowing with love.
In the beautiful and peaceful atmosphere of Cole’s family property, the couple's early spring ceremony was nothing short of magical. With just their closest family and a handful of friends gathered around, there was a sense of peace and deep meaning in every moment. The breeze was gentle, the sun was warm, and Sydney was the most radiant that I have ever seen her. Her joy was contagious as she made her way to meet her groom at the altar.
Cole and Sydney’s love story began long before this day. They met in sixth grade, just eleven years old, probably never imagining that their middle school sweetheart would one day become their forever. But God has a way of bringing the right people together, and through the years, their childhood friendship blossomed into a deep love and commitment to one another. Now, after all this time, they stood hand in hand, not just as best friends, but as husband and wife.
As beautiful as their love is, there was one little guest who stole the show for a few moments: Saylor, their sweet one-year-old daughter. In the middle of the ceremony, she toddled up between them, reaching for her daddy with outstretched arms. Cole smiled down at her, and then back up at his bride, and the love he felt for both of his girls was written all over his face. It was an unplanned moment, but one that felt like it belonged in their vows—a perfect picture of the life they’ve built together and the love that binds them as a family, held together by their faith in Jesus.
Though their wedding was simple in design, every detail was intentionally chosen and undeniably beautiful. Sydney’s gown was effortlessly elegant, flowing in the breeze as she walked toward her forever. Her bouquet, a delicate arrangement of soft blooms with vibrant colors, and the soft blue of Cole’s jacket were perfect to welcome in the spring season. Perhaps one of the most meaningful details was the small picture frame charms Cole had attached to his boutonniere, each holding a photo of a loved one who couldn’t be there but was carried with him in heart and memory. It was the kind of touch that made the day feel even more sacred.
And then, when the ceremony had ended and the family photos were all taken, the sun dipped lower in the sky, and we stole away for portraits. The golden light wrapped around them like a blessing, orchestrated by the Lord as a gorgeous gift for them on their special day. It was a moment of stillness, of wonder, of deep appreciation—for the journey that had brought them here and the one that lay ahead.
Cole and Sydney, your wedding was proof that love doesn’t need grandeur to be breathtaking. It was perfect because it was yours. Thank you for letting me be a part of this beautiful chapter in your story.
A special thank you to Maddie Moore (Sydney's Makeup Artist and best friend) for all your help!
